Junior District Orchestra auditions will take place on Monday, November 21, 2011 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Lake Braddock Secondary School.  Please pre-register with Mrs. Rupert by November 3.  All violinists will prepare 1st violin music.  The selected orchestra will be comprised of 22-1st violins, 22-2nd violins, 16 violas, 14 cellos and 8 basses.  Students need to prepare the scales as designated on the scale sheet plus the entire “Overture to Semiramide”.  Materials are posted here:

BASS- A Major 2 octave; e melodic minor 2 octave

There will also be a short sight-reading excerpt provided by judges on the day of the event.
